I've removed the default "comedy" tag from many shows which I consider to be more drama. Just because a show is funny, doesn't make it a comedy.
Title | Year | Tim's Personal Notes | Tim's Score |
---|---|---|---|
The IT Crowd | 2007 | The best of British nerd comedy! | 91 |
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip | 2006 | I loved this show when it came out and rewatched the entire series at least once. So disappointed that it did not catch on. This was the show that made me into an Aaron Sorkin fan. It's all about the dialogue. | 91 |
Scrubs | 2001 | I really loved this show at the beginning, but quality tapers off in later seasons. | 89 |
The West Wing | 1999 | It's a bit sappy and idealistic at times, but in the best kind of way. I've watched the entire series at least 3 times, with different people each time. You can learn something about politics from this show and about people. | 89 |
30 Rock | 2006 | 89 | |
The Office (US) | 2005 | 88 | |
Parks and Recreation | 2009 | 83 | |
Frasier | 1993 | I think I can relate to Frasier on some levels. | 81 |
Friends | 1994 | It's a classic. Can't argue that it's a fun show. I think I've seen every episode. But, the humor cuts a bit too mainstream for my taste. | 80 |
My Name Is Earl | 2005 | Surprising good show. Creators of this show, went on to make another favorite of mine, Raising Hope. | 79 |
The Rockford Files | 1974 | I haven't seen this show in a VERY long time. But, it was a favorite of mine in high school, back in the 80's. My friend and I loved Rockford's grit and attitude. Used to watch this in reruns. Would love to go back and watch a few episode to see how it holds up. I'm skeptical. | 75 |
