I've removed the default "comedy" tag from many shows which I consider to be more drama. Just because a show is funny, doesn't make it a comedy.
| Title | Year | Tim's Personal Notes | Tim's Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patriot | 2015 | This is definitely on my list of the top 10 most under appreciated shows. Very unique (and hilarious) sense of dark humor. | 95 |
| The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power | 2022 | 90 | |
| The Wheel of Time | 2021 | Read the Books and I think they did a prettty good job with the TV show of creating a complicated fantasy story with lots of magic and supernatural effects. I would recommend this to folks who really like fantasy stuff, but I'm not sure that this show had much of a cross over audience to the mainstream, which is probably why it was cancelled early and never got to finish it's story. | 88 |
| The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | 2017 | 88 | |
| Bosch | 2015 | Well produced and well acted. I very much appreciated the cast of charaters. Over time, I began to tired of Bosch who doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes or grow as character. Five seasons in, Bosch feel like the same guy I met in the first episode. Making the same mistakes and getting caught in the same dangerous situations. Will continue to watch, because I do like the characters and the views from Bosch's living room. | 82 |
| The Boys | 2019 | The show is generally well done and has an interesting premise. But, it's a bit too much for me. Too much violence, too much cynicism. UPDATE: I believe the final season was recently released and this is one of those shows that I'm intrigued to find out what happened in the last two seasons, but just don't quite have the stomach to watch them. I expect I may eventually binge watch them, but given the plethora of other good shows on my list right now, it may be a while before I find the time. | 60 |
| The Sticky | 2024 | I'm excited to see anything with Margo Martindale. |
